Sleep Better with Chamomile + Lemon Balm

Sleep Better with Chamomile + Lemon Balm

Lemon balm and Chamomile are *friends.*

They work together as a sleep inducer for those nights when your eyes are wide open staring at the ceiling.

Chamomile has long been an herb to aid sleeplessness and anxiety.

Combined with the relaxing benefits of lemon balm, this concoction together creates a great sip to help you if you just can’t seem to fall asleep, and stay asleep.

Both chamomile and lemon balm reduce anxiety.

The next time you’re feeling stressed-out and sleepless sip some Chamomile + Lemon Balm Tea.

You’ll be sleeping soundly in no time.

Sleep Better with Chamomile + Lemon Balm Tea

  • 1 cup (240 ml) water

  • 2 teaspoons (10 ml) dried lemon balm

  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) dried chamomile

  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) honey

Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Make sure the water isn’t boiling too much or else you might scorch the herbs.

Add the dried herbs directly to the saucepan. Cover with a lid so the precious oils don’t escape in the steam.

Steep the herbs for about 10 to 15 minutes to receive the full benefit of their healing attributes.

Pour into your favorite tea cup and enjoy sipping this tea just before you drift off to sleep.

Recipe is from one of my favorite herbal tea books, Lavender, Parsley, Peppermint and Sage, by Shea Zukowski.

Hello! I'm Mary Meckley, and I am on a mission to make meditation the best part of your day.

I want you to experience just how incredibly dynamic meditation can be. No more wondering what to do when you sit down on your mat. No more shopping lists running through your mind when you try to sit still. Every day I share a guided meditation using a different meditation technique so that you always know what to do when you sit down to meditate. You get to explore a variety of meditation techniques such as chakras, mudras, mantras, breath work, and feng shui so that you can start to remember what it felt like to feel calm again.

There's not a one size fits all way to meditate. Maybe mudras will be your thing. Maybe chakras will really speak to you. But you never really know until you sit down and do it. You can meditate with me every single day at The Daily Meditation Podcast. I'll show you how easy it is to find more peace, energy and clarity in 15 minutes or less.
